Nintendo Announces "Mario Kart" Is Coming to Mobile Devices

Nintendo continues to make movies in the Mobile game department announcing Mario Kart will be making its debut on smartphones. In a tweet on Wednesday (January 31st) Nintendo said "The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near. A new mobile application is now in development: Mario Kart Tour!  Releasing in the fiscal year ending in March 2019."

This isn't the first time that Nintendo has dabbled in the Mobile games department after releasing "Super Mario Run" last year. Which was a success in and of itself, being number one on the app store charts for awhile. The only issue people had with this mobile game was that after the initial "Free to Play" section of Super Mario Run, the rest of the game was stuck behind a "pay wall" in which players had to pay around $10 USD for the whole game.

No word as to if Mario Kart Mobile will have the same pay wall but look out for it towards the end of this year.
