Imagine the horror: you walk in to your favorite deli or corner store, order an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, and the person behind the counter delivers some devastating news...no cream cheese.

The supply chain issues plaguing the country are to blame for a possible shortage in cream cheese at delis all around the city. Shop owners say that they're scrambling to find more of the topping as they only have enough supply to last around 5 days.

Well, why can't they just go to the grocery store? The type of cream cheese delis and bagel shops use is different from the store bought brand you use at home. It contains an unprocessed and unwhipped ingredient that's used as the base for the cream cheese we've come to know and love.
